ALL other categories and the forums, topics and posts contained therein (including this one: General Forum Information, Suggestions, Questions, Technical issues, FAQ etc ) - remain, as always, completely private and viewable and accessible to registered and logged-in members only.
So just bear in mind that anything you post in either of the two 'open' sections, i.e.
GENERAL INFORMATION & ANNOUNCEMENTS; and
TALES FROM HISTORY
will be publicly viewable and limited simply to general-interest posts and announcements.
The latest posts in these 2 categories will be the only posts to show in the Latest Topics widget in the sidebar when you are not logged in. Once you have logged in though, you will be able to see all the latest topics from all the other (private) forums contained in all the other private categories - as usual.
To give an example - this is a Global Announcement, which means it will show at the top of every forum - except the ones that are publicly viewable. You hafta be logged in to view this post and any replies that are made to it.
